This image obviously is of a beach. Everytime I look at it I feel calm and relaxed. I love going to the beach and spending time with my family with the soothing noises and people all around. The palm trees in the picture remind me of my mom and how we share common interests because she also enjoys palm trees and the beach very much.

Everyone has a certain place in mind they would love to escape to that they have never been to or have already visited once before. Although, there are several more places I would love to visit, I believe my favorite vacation spot so far is Ocean City Maryland. I have been there twice already and both times had a lot of fun, first time was with my family, second was with my friend’s family. I had the chance to relax on the beach, swim in the waves, shop along the boardwalk, play putt putt, and so much more. There are a lot of activities to do in Ocean City and it doesn’t matter who you go with.

For week 9 of my challanges I was aked to come up with a topic that would be suitable to add to this international student blog. So here’s my question…

• How do you feel about the word respect?

Obviously, this question is very vague and can be approached in several different ways. Who do you respect? Must one give respect to earn it or should we respect everyone? Is being respectful the same as being kind to another?

There are multiple more questions one could ask dealing with the word respect, there are just a few examples.

After 8 weeks of being a part of edublogs my commenting has been getting better. Instead of closing my blog after reading a comment I put the effort in writing an interesting comment back. Not only have I tried working on replying but also browsing other people’s blogs and leaving a comment. However, I do admit I still need improvement on my commenting skills but I hope to work on that more in the upcoming weeks.

A positive digital footprint is basically a way you allow people on the internet to view you by means of an image such as, an avatar or photo. I prefer when I am most comfortable with the site I am using. Overall, I am responsible for myself when it comes to being internet savvy. For me, any site I’m on I never give out my address, phone number or even last name. As far as digital footprint’s go, I make sure pictures I upload are appropriate and don’t give out the wrong message about myself. The sites I post my positive digital footprints too include, myspace and facebook but that was only once I was comfortable with the site.

 I was asked by my teacher to create a story using images on a subject we enjoyed. I chose to do the topic of softball. Above is a collage telling a story of a softball player hitting a ball and running her way to home plate.  

Obviously, there are lots of holidays that people celebrate. My favorite is most definitely Christmas. I love this holiday for so many reasons.

• Family is all together.
• Lights are everywhere you look.
• The food is AMAZING!
• You get to bake lots of cookies.
• Allowed to have a real tree in the house & decorate it!
• Everyone is usually in a great mood.

Christmas is just my favorite time of year and it always has been ever since I was a little girl. I just love everything about the holiday.

There are so many different places around the world that I find exciting. If I had the chance to choose whatever vacation I wanted to go on, I would probably choose taking a R.V. out west. My mom was talking about doing this last year and I thought it was a really sweet idea. She discussed driving out West for around a month and just visiting different monuments, museums, attractions, anything my family wanted to see. We ended up not doing it last year but it’s still on her mind. There are many advantages and disadvantages to going on this trip.

Advantages…

1.  I get to see all the atrractions I’ve never gotten a chance to see.

2. Get to drive across the country.

3. Camping out and bonfires are part of the experience.

Disadvantages…

1. Trapped in an R.V. with the family for a month.

2. I couldn’t hang out with my friends.

3. Away from home in general.

Even if there are good and bad things about going on this vacation, I still think it would be an amazing experience to be a part of. So if I did have to choose a fantasy vacation it would definitely be driving out west.

Although I have a lot of interests, one of my favorites is watching movies. Sometimes I love to be a fatty and just sit down and put in an awesome movie! Pop some popcorn in the micrwave, invite a few friends over, gather up some yummy fat food,  and surround the television. Usually my friends and I decide all together what movie we want to watch but when it’s up to me I always go for a great comedy. Though, it depends on what mood I’m in.  Sometimes I’m in the “I want to be scared out of my socks” mood and those days I love to put in a great horror film. Other genres such as drama, action, and family I can also go for pretty much at anytime.
